  1. Sample kit (see above) will be sent to you that will contain bottles, gloves, labels and instructions and cool pack for microbial samples. On arrival place cool pack in freezer
  2. Take samples in morning so they can be shipped on the same day.
  3. When taking samples wear gloves to prevent contamination of water.
  4. Open sterile packaging containing bottle. Take off cap and place it back in packaging so that it does not become contaminated.
  5. If taking a sample from a tap, shower or other running source make sure that the tap is run for a minute before the sample is taken. Do not let the bottle touch the tap when taking the sample. Fill the bottle to the top.
  6. Close the bottle immediately after the sample is taken and make sure it is firmly closed by inverting bottle
  7. Fill in the label and sample submission sheet
  8. Pack the bottles in the carrying case and add cool pack if microbial samples taken. Post as soon as possible.
  9. Sampling times are from 1 to 2 weeks depending on tests required. Results will be sent by email on completion of the tests. A copy of the results will also be available via a log in on the company website.
